Clarify to Migaru, step by step
The same four steps as a move from any CRM, in Clarify's own words.
- 1
Export your records from Clarify
One file per object
Get your companies, people and deals out of Clarify as CSV files. Nothing connects to Clarify, so nothing there changes while you move.
- 2
Set up your stages and fields
Once, before importing
Name your deal stages to match Clarify's, and add a field for each custom field you want to keep. The importer maps onto fields that already exist, and a stage only comes across if Migaru has one spelled exactly the same way.
- 3
Import each file
A minute or two a file
Import companies as accounts, people as contacts and deals as deals, up to 50,000 rows a file. Columns named like one of your fields map themselves, and where it can, Migaru suggests a field for the rest for you to check. Every import is logged and can be undone.
- 4
Connect your mailbox and calendar
A couple of minutes a person
Each person connects Gmail or Outlook along with its calendar, and Migaru reads back up to two years. Conversations land on the records you imported: contacts are matched on email address and accounts on the domain of their website, so https://www.acme.com and acme.com are the same account. Anything that still looks like a duplicate is flagged for you to merge.
After the move, if you want
Add your call transcripts
Drop in the transcripts your recorder exports, several at a time. Migaru files each one on the meeting it belongs to, making one when your calendar never had it, or on the account or contact when it can't be sure, and lists any it can't place for you to attach. It reads each one for commitments, unless the person who uploaded it keeps only who and when.
Rebuild the automations you still need
Describe each rule in a sentence: what triggers it, the conditions, and what to do, such as set a field, create a task or notify someone. Migaru reads the rule back to you before it is created. Workflows come with Pro and above.
What comes across from Clarify
Every record you export, and a plain answer for everything that doesn't import.
| In Clarify | In Migaru |
|---|---|
| Companies | Accounts. One already in Migaru with the same website is filled in rather than copied. |
| People | Contacts. A company column links each to its company's account, made if there isn't one, and a contact already here with the same email address is filled in rather than copied. |
| Deals | Deals, each at the stage with the same name. Nothing identifies a deal, so import the file once, or undo the first run before a second. |
| Email and meeting history | Read again from each person's mailbox and calendar, up to two years back. |
| Recordings | Not imported. Drop in any transcript you can save as a file, and Migaru files it on its meeting. |
| Updates made in the background | Suggested instead: a deal's stage, value and close date wait for a person to accept, unless you set a field to fill itself. |
| Credits | Nothing to carry over: Migaru has no credits. |
What you gain by leaving Clarify
A price that doesn't move
A fixed price, per user on Starter and one price for the whole workspace on Pro and Growth, whatever the agent does.
Judgement calls wait for a person
Who was on a call and when someone last replied keep themselves current. A deal's stage, value and close date are suggested for someone to accept.
No bot on your calls
Migaru never joins a call. Upload the transcripts your recorder exports, and each is filed on its meeting and read for promises.
Written for you, sent by you
Follow-ups and sequence steps are drafted into your own mailbox. Migaru's own code can't send email.
Still weighing it up?
The comparison sets Migaru beside Clarify on price, recording, sending and more, and says plainly where Clarify is the better choice.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to switch from Clarify?
Four steps. Each import runs as soon as its columns are mapped, taking a minute or two for a file of tens of thousands of rows, and each person connects their mailbox and calendar in a couple of minutes. Reading two years of email and meetings carries on in the background, a batch every fifteen minutes, while you work.
Will Migaru change my pipeline once the move is done?
Only the facts. The conversations on each record, summaries and last-contact dates keep themselves current, while a deal's stage, value and close date are suggested for you to accept or dismiss. Each field can be set to fill itself, suggest, or be left alone.
Can we keep using Clarify while we move?
Yes. Migaru never connects to Clarify, so nothing there changes while your team moves across. There's no sync between the two either, so pick a day to stop entering data in Clarify.
Does our email history come across from Clarify?
Not from Clarify: Migaru reads it from the source instead. When each person connects Gmail or Outlook, up to two years of email and meetings are read back and filed on the records you imported.
