Move from another CRM

Connect HubSpot, Pipedrive or Attio to bring their records across with the links between them, or import the CSV files any other CRM exports.

Under Settings → Migrations, each tool is marked Reads it directly or From exported files. HubSpot, Pipedrive and Attio are read directly, links between their records and all. Salesforce, Close, Copper, Lightfield, folk, Day.ai and Clarify move with the CSV files they export, and each has its steps there. Moving from a CRM is on every plan.

Connect HubSpot, Pipedrive or Attio

Sign in to the CRM where its button offers that, or paste a key: a HubSpot service key, a Pipedrive API token, or an Attio access token. Migaru only reads. A HubSpot or Attio key that could change anything is refused; Pipedrive can’t make a token read-only, so its token is taken as it is. The key is dropped as soon as everything has been read, and if you pasted one, delete or replace it in the CRM afterwards.

One move from each CRM can be under way at a time, and one left waiting for your choices for seven days is cancelled.

What comes across

Companies, contacts, deals, notes and tasks, as accounts, contacts, opportunities, notes and tasks, linked as they were in the CRM. Before anything is written, an admin chooses where each deal stage lands — on a stage here, on No stage, or as a pipeline of its own — and can have a field made for each of the CRM’s own properties that holds anything.

Each record goes to the member with its owner’s email address, or to whoever started the move where there isn’t one, and a record the move makes keeps the day it was made in the CRM.

Email and calls don’t come across: Migaru reads your mail from your mailbox instead (see Connect your mailbox and calendar). Nor do recordings, or Attio’s lists and custom objects. Amounts kept in another currency come across as the same numbers.

Running it again

A move copies; it doesn’t sync. Running it again from the same CRM account finds the records the first one brought and fills in their empty fields, without changing what they already hold.

Taking it back

Take it back moves the records the move made to Deleted items. Each kind it brought is in Settings → Import history too, like an import. The stages and fields it added, and links it made between records that were here before it, stay.

From exported files

For any other CRM, export each kind of record as a CSV file and import it: see Import a CSV file. Keep the export’s ID column mapped to ID, and importing a file again fills in what the first import made rather than copying it. The switching guides take each CRM step by step.
