Delete a workspace or your account

How an owner deletes a workspace, with 14 days to change their mind, how to delete your own account, and what Deleted items keeps.

Deleted items

A record somebody deletes, and a deleted knowledge page or skill, goes to Settings → Deleted items, and stays there until somebody restores it or deletes it for good. Restore puts a record back as it was, if the workspace has room for it under its record limit. Delete for good can’t be undone. A record merged into another can’t be restored.

Delete the workspace

Only an owner can delete a workspace: under Settings → General → Delete workspace, type its name and confirm. It is locked at once for everyone in it, its subscription is set to end without renewing, and every owner and admin is emailed the day it will be deleted, 14 days later.

Until then, any owner can open it and choose Keep the workspace, which puts everything back, billing included. It can’t be exported while it waits, so export it first if you want a copy: see Export your data.

When the days are up, everything in it is deleted: its records, files, recordings and transcripts, and the accounts of people who belong to no other workspace. The notetaker’s provider is asked to delete its copies of the calls, and everyone who was in it is emailed.

Delete your account

Under Settings → Profile → Delete your account, type your email address and confirm. It happens at once, you’re emailed when it’s done, and what you owned, such as records, forms and share links, passes to another owner. Your account is the same in every workspace you belong to, so deleting it takes you out of all of them.

The only owner of a workspace can’t delete their account until they make somebody else an owner under Settings → Members, or delete the workspace.
